This bag is rated to 3,000 lb SWL — higher than most of our standard line — because sand, gravel, and crushed stone are significantly denser than materials like mulch or feed. At 35″x35″x50″, you’ll typically hit the weight limit well before the bag looks visually full, so always fill by weight, not by how full the bag appears.
2. Will sharp aggregate material puncture or wear through the fabric?
The woven polypropylene fabric on this bag is built heavier than our general-purpose bags specifically to resist abrasion from sharp-edged aggregate like crushed stone. That said, no woven fabric is puncture-proof — avoid dragging loaded bags across rough surfaces, and inspect for wear before reuse or extended storage.
3. Can this bag be filled directly from a loader or hopper?
Yes — that’s exactly what the open top is designed for. It gives you a wide opening for fast filling from a loader bucket, hopper, or conveyor without needing to funnel material through a narrow spout. Just make sure the bag is positioned on stable, level ground before filling to avoid tipping as it fills.
4. Is this bag stable enough to stack on a job site?
The flat bottom is designed for stable, self-standing storage on level ground or a pallet. Stacking loaded bags isn’t recommended unless you’ve confirmed load-bearing capacity with your supplier — the flat bottom keeps a single bag stable, but stacking multiple 3,000 lb bags introduces risks (shifting, uneven ground, crush load on lower bags) that need a site-specific safety assessment, not a blanket yes/no.
5. What’s the minimum order, and how does pricing scale with volume?
